Charge 3 won't sync to iPhone 7

I’ve had my charge 3 for 2 weeks. It synced to my iPhone 7 for a few days. Now I have to reset the tracker several times a day (pressing side button while on charge) to enable it to connect to my phone. I have done everything suggested on every post. It still drops its sync at least once a day and I have to find a place to charge the tracker to reset it. Really, really, really fed up with what is otherwise a great thing. I’d like my money back so I can buy a tracker that actually does what it’s meant to do. I see so many others on here with the same problem and they’re just being given the same steps I’ve already followed (which work to reconnect but then the problem happens again a few hours later.) There is clearly a problem. Please address it rather than claiming that there isn’t a problem.

Thanks for the details shared in your post and for all the troubleshooting that you have tried so far. I understand how this could make you feel. I'd suggest removing your device to refresh the complete connecting, so please do the following:

1. Make sure the Fitbit app is updated, a new version was released a few days ago.
2. On your phone, tap Settings → Bluetooth → the information icon → next to the name of your Fitbit device  → Forget This Device.
3. Turn off Bluetooth
4. Restart your Fitbit tracker. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

5. Restart your phone

6.Turn on Bluetooth

7. Open the Fitbit app, tap the today tab and then tap your profile picture.

  • Tap Set Up a Device.
  • Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue. If your Fitbit is still paired, tap replace to continue.

Hope this helps.

Welcome on board @Lesley57, it's nice to see you around here! Thanks for already troubleshooting this syncing issue between your phone and your Fitbit Charge 3, nice way to go!

While reading your post, my first thought is that your Charge 3 might be no longer paired to your Fitbit account and that's why it's not syncing or connecting to your phone's Bluetooth. In order to solve this, please go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and remove the tracker. In the list of Bluetooth devices you'll see the Charge 3 and next to it, this symbol "!". Hit the symbol and it will take you to the next step, once you're there select the option that says "Forget this device". Also, I'd recommend restarting your tracker by following these steps.

Once you've made sure about that, go back to the Fitbit app, go to the "Account" option in the upper right corner and select "Set up a Device". This should start the setup process for your device.

Give this a shot and let me know the outcome!

Hello there @Lesley57, thanks for following the recommendations provided. Also, thanks for letting us know about this issue. We’re currently working to resolve it and hope to have a fix soon. Be sure to keep your Fitbit device and app up-to-date to ensure you receive the quickest resolution.

We're sorry for any trouble. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.

However, I'd suggest try the following steps to see if that improves the synchronization with your iPhone:

- Open Settings app on phone
- Scroll down, tap Fitbit -> Toggle Location to 'Always'
- Ensure toggles next to Bluetooth and Background App Refresh are turned ON

Please let us know if there's anything we can do to assist you in the meantime.
