Charge 3 won't sync to my iPhone 7

I managed to connect my Charge 3 with Fitbit so that it is counting steps, etc. but the device will not sync with my iPhone 7.  The Charge 3 has Firmware version: 28.20001.63.5 and the iPhone is up-to-date.  I have tried all of the advice previously posted including turning my phone off and restarting as well as turning off and on Bluetooth on the iPhone.  The Charger is also losing time throughout the day and night.  The only other device that uses Bluetooth is for my car (that was a challenge to pair) but I am not driving at the moment so the car is not causing any interference.  I would appreciate any suggestions to pair and then reliably sync my Charge 3 and iPhone.  Also the screen is still full of grey streaks and as the phone is not recognized I can't try a different face.  Thank you for your assistance.

Hi there @CanadaCan, it's nice to see you around the Community Forums. We're sorry for the late response, due to recent events affecting our operations, we're taking longer to respond.

Thanks for the details provided about the syncing difficulties you've been experience between your Charge 3 and your iPhone 7. I appreciate you've taken the time to troubleshoot that prior to contacting us.

If you haven't done so yet, I recommend following the steps provided here: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Also, I advise you to verify this:

- Open Settings app on phone
- Scroll down, tap Fitbit -> Toggle Location to 'Always'
- Ensure toggles next to Bluetooth and Background App Refresh are turned ON

Give this a go and let me know if the synchronization starts working. I'll be around, keep me in the loop.

Nope no help! Watch loses 4-8 minutes an hour. Lost 3 hours in 8 hours over night.
