I’ve contacted Fitbit 4 times and still not resolved my problem.
the active minutes show 0 at all times even when I’ve been for a run or done any form of exercise.
the calories also don’t work.
very disappointed.

Since you mentioned that your Charge 3 won't track active minutes and calories, please restart your tracker as described in this help article. After this, check out this help page, which explains how your Fitbit device tracks your active minutes.

Yep I am having the exactly same issue. It's records it on my app and on the device, then in the next sync the data is removed and back to 0 active minutes.
I'm also losing steps, today I've had 1,500 deducted from my device and app dashboard with the space of 20 mins.
I've uninstalled the app and restarted the phone before reinstalling.
I've unpaired the device and phone
I've also rebootef the device.
My charge 3 has not been acturately functioning for at least three weeks despite multiple resets.
