Charge 3 won’t track heart rate

Got the device from my girlfriend as a gift on our two year anniversary. Four days into use the heart rate tracker tells me my resting heart rate is 90-110 bpm? I can almost guarantee if you’re looking at this post because you have the same problem there will be some cheese ball moderator giving me a copy and pasted answer of which I’ve already tried for a fix. I’ve reset it, unlinked and relinked, on and off, fully charged, synced with this, that, and maybe that, oh! And this!.... Not to mention the customer service chat. Copy paste spam beyond belief. How hard is it to talk to a real person? It sucks knowing that Fitbit as a company is well aware of their new HR tracking method, how it’s a failure, and just slaps a bandied on it. What a shame, really cool concept and design, too bad it doesn’t work.
