Charge 3 won’t track mileage for individual exercises

 I have the overall mileage on display on the app but when I try check for the distance I’ve walked for each time I go on a walk, it doesn’t show. I’ve tried checking on the website but it just shows as N/A

 

I have my location setting on.

The only time it has shown the distance is when I started the tracking function at the beginning of my walk but I usually forget so I have to rely on smart track.

But smart track isn’t very smart, it never logs my distance for each walk.

 

Is this a glitch? How can it be fixed?
