Charge 3 won't turn on after less than 3 years of use

Within the last 6-9 months, the Charge 3's screen started to fade. First the left side, then the entire screen was permanently black. Then, the battery life significantly decreased until it needed charging every 2 days. Then, the Charge 3's Bluetooth connection stopped, multiple times a day. Then, the Charge 3 would not pair at all with Bluetooth. Then, Bonding stopped. Then, no sleep data were recorded -- sleep tracking was the no. 1 reason I bought the Charge 3 in November 2018. Then, no steps were recorded. Then, I took the Charge 3 off my wrist and put it in a drawer. I will return to using a wristwatch because these last for decades. I will now recycle the Charge 3 with my other hazardous waste items. Piece of junk.

@505mhs Welcome to our Fitbit Community. I totally understand how you feel about the screen and connections issues that your Charge 3 has experienced.

In order to fix this issue, please restart your Charge 3 as described in this help article. After this, check out if your tracker turns on and follow the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help page, in order to fix the syncing and connection issues.

Hope this helps.

I have restarted my Charge 3 dozens of times over the past 6-9 months, with no positive results, and will not restart again now. The Charge 3 is dead, and that is that.

Same with my Charge 3. It was going crazy the other night then died, It's less than 2 years old and past warranty. Not sure I would ever buy another Fitbit.
