Charge 3 won’t turn on

Charge 3 got it last night was working fine all day and I looked down at my wrist it was black so I figured it was just dead ...plug it in and it won’t vibrate turn on or show me any sign that it’s charging ?!

It was fully charged. I did everything to get it to work and it just keeps
getting the frowny face.

Just bought the special edition rose gold and lavender edition. Turn it on, download the app...oh, already required a firmware update. Ok. Get that done. 

 

Screen doesnt display anything. It is 100% charged according to the app, tried restarting it and got the smiley face eventually. It is tracking steps but the watch face doesn't display anything - just dead black. I'm honestly devastated, I bought this with my Christmas bonus. Will be returning ASAP and won't be purchasing a replacement after reading these comments. Way too many people have had this problem with this product.

 Same here, my wife was gifted a Charge 3 special edition, and after every charging the Fitbit turns dead. I have to plug it in and restart every time. Please provide a fix or give a replacement device

Just received this as a early Christmas gift, died within 30 minutes of use. What a horrible piece of technology and I will definitely be using a fitness tracker from a different company in the future.

I have followed the steps and it only vibrates, never does the screen turn on. Been trying and charging for over 12 hours now

Same problem! Just received it as a Christmas gift. Put it on charge and the smiley face popped up but now the screen is completely blank and I can’t even set it up on the app. Trying to reset it doesn’t work either!

I didn't even get the smiley face. I contacted tech support and they determined it was defective. I guess it is a very common issue with this generation of fitbits.

Same with mine. It was fine and then now nothing is happening. I don't understand  how to reset it and who knows if that will even work

Got Fitbit it vibrates when it charges but it will not turn on

I got a fitbit charge 3 for Christmas and i charged it but i cant turn it on the only thing on the screen is the website setup

i had my charge 3 just under a moth ago, it worked fine for the first week then stopped syncing, today however the thing went blank, I charged it but it wont turn on at all so cant reset. Awaiting reply from costumer support!!!!!!!!!!! but by reading all these comments seams to be a major problem with the device, absolutely gutted!

I too have  the same problem. It was working earlier and fully charged. I checked it and is is just blank. I have gone through the process of adding the charger and holding down the button twice but no change. I can hear it vibrating when I plug it in. It's my first time of having a Fitbit ( approx 4 weeks) so I'm not happy if there is a fault. I got mine  from BT for signing up so I suppose I need to contact them, but if it is a problem it could happen again so I would like to get the answer.

I contacted Fitbit and they’re sending me a replacement since mine didn’t turn on at all after the initial smiley face when I charged it. I really hope that the new one doesn’t end up having the same problem.

Thanks for the info . But i charged it again last night and it came on . So far so good . I do however find my steps may be off ......or i really do take that many ..lol

Thank you for your post.  Holding it down for 8 seconds worked for me.  Now I just have to verify that it is syncing with my app and phone once it's done fully charging.

I too got mine from BT, I only contacted fitbit costumer support via email. They were quick to respond and very helpful. If you had it from BT then you probably only got it Dec 18 so it's still in warranty! they're sending me a replacement!

My Charge 3 vibrates when I have it charging, but I do not get any visual on the face. I've held in the power button as indicated, but there is no visual still.

The helpdesk told me to do things. Funnily enough it had just switched back on.this may help others. Go to the mobile play store and my apps. Check if there is an update to the firmware. Also check on the app for any updates. I did both even thoughn was now working. The helpdesk were very helpful.
