My Fitbit Charge 3 suddenly died a few weeks ago. I've tried several times to reset it, including long resets, but nothing. Early in October, I was finishing a long hike and it suddenly started vibrating nonstop and the display screen went blank.
The battery drained down to zero even though it had been at 85%. It finally stopped vibrating after a minute or two. I plugged it in to the charging cable as soon as I got home, and though it would charge and sync, the display would be blank. I noticed after a few tries it would show the smiley face, but the display was still blank. The back of the tracker would sometimes show a red light, and sometimes a flashing red light, but nothing consistent.
Over the past few weeks, I've let it wind down to zero, have done multiple long resets (plugged it in; held the button for 15 seconds; unplugged it; plugged it back in.) I've tried to update through the app, and I finally tried to uninstall and reinstall the tracker altogether. The only thing it did was unpair with the app, and and now I can't reconnect it because the screen won't display the 4 digit code to finish the installation, although, it says it is able to find the tracker no problem.
I've owned this tracker for 1.5 years. It has died (gone black) 3 times previously at various times, but I was always able to do a long restart and get it back on track. Now it is dead as a doorknob and I can't get it to do anything. I know that the 1 year warranty has expired, but it seems to me that it shouldn't die on me so many times and then completely blank out after only a year and a half!

Please help with a similar problem. I have tried charging and rebooting for a week but the face is still blank. My tracker was functioning (unseen) and syncing.
after reinstalling the app on my phone I was asked to pair the tracker but I can't see the 4 digit pin. Thank you.
