Charge 3 won't turn on

My Fitbit screen refuse to show anything, but app is working fine. How can I possible fix this?

Hi there -

 

So I've tried your solution and here are the results:

 

After holding down the button for 15 seconds (and when I hit the button I can feel the vibration), I get one of two results:

 

1 - nothing. The nothing shows on the screen, and the unit becomes unresponsive on the button for 15-20 seconds.  Nothing appears on the screen.  Removing and replacing the unit back on the charging cable doesnt make anything appear.  Afterwards, hitting the side button produces a vibration, but nothing on the screen.

 

2- sometimes, I will get a progress bar on the screen that advances in 4 segments... Each time the bar progresses, the unit vibrates.  A smiley face appears and then disappears.  Nothing ever appears on the screen afterwards, but the button does vibrate when pressed.  

 

A side note, subsequent to the failed FW uodate I have tried to re-add this unit to my app, and when in 'add mode' it does connect and get to the point where I need to input 4 digits, but the digits never appear on the screen.

Fitbit replaced my Fitbit because I was well within the year warranty
time.

My fitbit won't turn on. I have done a short restart, long restart doesn't seem to work. Setting another clock face doesn't turn it on either.

My fitbit is from 1 Feb 2019, so just under a year old.

 

What to do?

I ended up contacting customer service with the issue which repeated several times dsresetting working for a day or so.   Since I was within a year of purchase, they are sending a replacement.  Hoping the new one works properly for longer than a year.

At step number 3 I do get the three vibrations while holding the button for 15 seconds. But the scree remains blank. Not able to see anything. It connects to the phone app ok and tracks ok. Just can’t see anything.

Reported this at customer service. Expecting a replacement Fitbit to arrive by the end of this week.

I amm having the same issues and none of what was recommended works. Also it won't pair with my phone bluetooth. I can't get anything to show up on the screen. How do I check the settings for the bluetooth pairing ? And since nothing is working is my Fitbit done for.

Is all about the Fitbit charge 3 mal function and not only myself, I don’t
recommend it to my clients anymore, you guys know about and don’t do a
things to help! I definitely will go to Best Buy to report Fitbit ( fraude)

Was already replaced once earlier due to gray lines on the screen. I called customer service again about this one and they won’t replace it so I am going to go with either another brand or another style of Fitbit. Thank you for your input.

I will not replace with another Fitbit, one experience is enough, plus I
recommend to my clients, and already they complained about the problems
they having with change 3 ,

Tried recommended steps for rebooting, several times,s changed clock face, still blank. Syncs ok, just no display on Fitbit screen. Purchased August 2019.

I have a charge 3 and I tried these things.  However, it is not responding, the green light on the bottom isn't on, it doesn't respond when I plug it into the charger what should I do?

Contact customer services, they replaced my one..good luck 😀
