I am having issues with my Fitbit Charge, the screen won’t come on but there is a flashy green light and I tried to charge and the screen still won’t come on. Why is this happening? I haven’t even had this watch for a month, can you anyone assist?

I've tried everything. I get the smiley face and then the horizontal line. It vibrates but then when I remove from the charger, nothing. My phone app can't find the device. So frustrated after 2 full days of trying to fix this. Help.

it seems this problem occur frequently please contact the Fitbit CS representative I am sure the only solution is to replace your unit provided it’s still under warranty

My Fitbit charge 3 won’t turn on. I have already done the steps that it says to do. Which the smiley face appears and then goes off. Nothing else happens, the face then goes back to being black. Can you please advise what to do. Thanks

I did buy the wife a garmin vivasmart to replace her screwed up charge2 but
it o longer works in her fitbit group of people so she bought this one and
you are right. A problem known in 2018 and they still sell new damaged
ones in 2020

I had to do the restart trick a number of times before it worked (and to
let it charge fully). Since then (in the past few months) I've had to do it
occasionally, but the Charge 3 is still working okay overall.

Charge 3 won’t turn on even after doing this. Have also tried holding the button for 15 seconds and also the change of clock face but still bank screen. Any other suggestions?
Have been very careful using my Fitbit.

I did and was told because I had my Charge 3 for 14 months and live in the US I was not eligible for a free replacement - but if I lived in the UK I would be eligible because they have a 2 year warranty - very unfair - I would never purchase another Fitbit product

I’m having the same issue with my charge 3.  I have tried the 8 second thing and still nothing.  This is my 2nd Charge 3.  Neither of them have lasted more than a year.  Extremely disappointed.

You are most likely out of warranty, so good luck in trying to get a third
replacement m

I've been using it for 14 months now and so it's no longer under warranty.

You could take a chance on the Change 4 or try another make!

Yeah, not sure I’m willing to spend the money and take the chance on what will likely be a product that hasn’t proven to be high quality.  If I’m spending over $100 on a fitness tracker, I expect it to work/last for more than a year. If I could trust that the tracker was great quality, I might consider upgrading.  Sadly, that hasn’t been my experience with my fitbit trackers.

For mine, it is not a "display issue".  At least once per week, often more, the fitbit randomly shuts down, regardless of charge state.  I usually notice this when out hiking (usually hiking two to five hours at a time when I'm hoping the fitbit charge 3 is tracking!).  I notice the shutdown when I push the button to check the time or step count.  It may flash on for a tenth of a second and then go dark, or may just be dark.  I can hold the button down for a minute but no restart occurs.  The only way to restart is to wait until I get home, and plug it in for as briefly as 10 seconds.  Then I get a smiley face and a restart.  The battery level has not changed.  There has been no recording of steps etc. during the outage.  This is unacceptable.  Let me know if support can fix this.  If not I will return to Costco and shop other fitness devices.  Too bad.  I like what it does but am not prepared to lose a day or more per week of recording.

I have experienced difference in tracking data which Fitbit claims is due
to incomparability with your mobile device maybe! The problems you have in
my case eventually resulted in total failure, good luck!

Thank you. That is what we did.

I've tried all the advice here.  It won't restart no matter how long I hold the button down - 8 or 15 seconds.  It just vibrates when I hold it down.  I tried changing the clock face but it says it can't because it can't connect to the device.  I think it's dead.
