I am having issues with my Fitbit Charge, the screen won’t come on but there is a flashy green light and I tried to charge and the screen still won’t come on. Why is this happening? I haven’t even had this watch for a month, can you anyone assist?

am guessing that the new Charge 3 lasted 3 months and checking on here to see its a recurring problem may have helped in persuading to switch brands :-).
I went from Garmin to Fitbit because I had the same issue with screens albeit after 18 months. unless my Fitbit replacement (coming today hopefully) lasts longer I may look to either go back to Gamin or try another brand

Actually, in three months I got TWO failed ones!!! The first broke after a month, Then I had to wait over a month to get the new one, because I live in New Zealand and their customer service is ridiculous if you are not from US. This last lasted TWO weeks. Sent back, got a long and painful reimbursement in an even more ridiculous form (they don't charge back your credit card), and happily changed brand.

Hi Josephine.

Only this thread is becoming endless (who knows how many other exist), and they DON'T admit that this is a defective design.
Many years ago I was the happy owner of the innovative and extremely well working Basis Peak. Then they discovered a FEW not fixable incidents of overheating... they retired ALL the products of the market (including the working ones) and gave a full reimbursement to everyone. The Peak RIP, and now new products was developed after it.

I am have tried EVERYTHING possible and my screen Is STILL black!!! Was having an issue on my screen display this morning it was jumbled so when I went to do the restart my Fitbit completely went black and now my screen will not turn back on at all!! I have tried everything possible, ALL of the suggestions numerous times. It’s updated, I tried all the restarting options, tried changing the clock face. It is registering my data on the app and vibrates but the screen will NOT turn back on?!?!? Just stays black no matter what

My display went from bad to worse, I now have a display, but it is unreadable.
I went on line to the fitbit page and chatted with Christine, she determined that I had tried the "solutions" and still had an issue. She then determined I was still within warranty and sent me an email directing me to where I could get either a free replacement, or a discount on a different fitbit product,
Great customer support, but I hope this is a software issue and it gets fixed, and not a hardware issue and we will see it forever.
This issue needs a true solution and not a workaround fix.

For new people to this thread, or this display issue, one of the take-aways here is if you are having display issues, be very leary to unpair your device. If you need to re-pair it, you will need a display on your device.

Hello, I am having the same problem. Had the smiley face all day. Left my Fitbit charging for three hours. It is now blank and won’t turn on. I tried to troubleshoot it as I have seen on these threads but nothing works.
Please elevate my issue sue and help me to fix this.
Thanks,
jaimi

I'm supposed to be getting a replacement next week. Hopefully I will not have any problems. My current Charge 3 has been great up until now that the screen went dark. It still records my steps and my sleep when I sync it to my phone, but I can't track my workouts. Best luck with yours

I received my replacement yesterday. I set it up and it works well. I hope it continues to.
One suggestion for everyone getting replacements, turn off alarms on the old one before you un-pair it and remove it from your app. Without a display or the app it is impossible to turn the alarms off, [and impossible to re pair it to turn alarms off from the app]. Mine sat on my dresser this morning buzzing and freaking out my dogs.
