Charge 3 won't work outside the charger

Received my Fitbit Charge 3 today, this is my second charge 3 and 3rd fitbit overall. Never had any problems besides lines going through screen. 

Put it on charge, set it all up, synced with the fone and all that. However once I take it off charge its non responsive, blank screen and nothing happens, the back of it is non responsive either. 

Ive tried updating the app, changing clock faces, restarting, but no luck, still is non responsive as soon as I take if off charger. 

I am not new to fitbit and normally what I've done does the trick, but I am running out of options.
