Charge 3 wonky after only 6 months

I got my Charge 3 around Christmas, around 6 months ago.  It has been well cared for and never knocked around.  Recently, it started working only sporadically, recording some steps but not all, not recording sleep some nights, and basically working only intermittently.  The battery, screen, and secondary functions (time of day, text messages)    are like new. I have rebooted and restarted and followed every trouble shooting procedures I could find. Nothing works.  Is six months really the lifespan of a Fitbit‽ I am very disappointed.

No that is not the life span. I have had mine since it came out 2018 and it works great.

 

How is it being charged?

See this thread for charging best practices. If you are not charging it correctly you could be damaging the battery

No that is not the life span. I have had mine since it came out 2018 and it works great.
