Charge 3 wont hold a charge

I've had the Charge 3 for about 6 months, and have been consistently able to wear it for about a week without needing a charge. Now, starting yesterday, when I plugged it in to charge (using the USB plugged into my computer), it wont hold a charge at all. Yesterday it dropped the charge quickly, but did make it through most of the day. However, it only kept a 34% charge (which usually lasts me days) 2 hours before it died in the night. Now, it will charge for a few moments, then recognize that the battery is in fact full (and states it is at 100% both on the device and in my app) and then drops back to 1% or just shuts off in moments. When I am charging it, it does show the charging icon, so I know that the pins are connecting, and I have reset it both by holding the side button down until I see the smiley face and through the settings option. 

Is this thing doomed and done, just like that? Or am I missing some key troubleshooting step?

Did you find any solutions? I feel like I've done everything. I wonder if there was an update that has gone wrong or something...I don't see this issue in any other recent forum topics, but it happened so quickly I feel like there has to be something.

Spoke to someone in customer service. Told them I  did everything that was suggested. My fitbit is not under warranty (of course) so they gave me a 25% discount for another fitbit. Got another charge 3 for $89 plus tax. Not happy that this only lasted a year. I had my flex for at least 3 years no problem before I upgraded...Good luck!!

Same happened to me. Someone is sure pocketing a lot of money from customers like us that have problems
