I have a question that I acknowledge is possibly pretty dumb. My charge 3 wristband finally broke after 18 months. When I tried to remove it, the latch was totally stuck in place. I tried pressing it - no go. I tried pressing harder and broke a nail - no go. Then I tried pressing on it with a ball point pen, then a screw driver. Nothing moved it and the broken band was still firmly attached. A screwdriver and a small hammer finally got it. I tossed the old band so I don't have anything with which to compare a new band. Finally the question, was the latch part of the band or part of the watch? As of now there is no latch on the watch. The brand X band I bought did not have a latch (and wouldn't stay on the watch). Any help appreciated before I try to buy another one.
Thanks.

Hi @steve617 - Nice to see you here! Unfortunately, I no longer have my charge 3. Looking at videos (found on Google), it looks like the latch is on the watch itself. The fact that the new bands falls off your watch, verifies this. The latch may have broken off in your efforts to detach the old band. Wish I had better news for you. Have you looked at the new Charge 4s? The good news is that the band you purchased for your Charge 3 will fit the Charge 4.
