Charge 3 wristband not attached properly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just received new charge 3 which requires scrolling up to move screens. The band is not flush up or down with the face so finger is getting caught on the band when scrolling. I imagine dirt will as well.

Charge 2 was flush.

Suggestions?

Hi there @SunsetRunner, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided.

Fitbit Charge 3 have 2 detachable wristbands (top and bottom) that you can replace with accessory bands sold separately. To remove and replace the bands on both sides:

  1. Turn over your tracker and locate the two wristband latches—there’s one on each end where the wristband meets the frame.
  2. To release a latch, press down on the flat button on the strap.

  3. Gently pull the wristband away from the tracker to release it.

  4. Remove the wristband on the other side. If you’re having trouble or if it feels stuck, gently move the wristband back and forth to release it.
  5. To attach a wristband, slide it on the end of the tracker until you feel it snap into place, then repeat on the other side. If you have trouble attaching the wristband or if it feels loose, gently move the wristband back and forth to make sure it is attached to the tracker.

The wristband is attached properly.
The issue is that the straps which are manufactured and sold with the face piece, are not flush with the face piece so the finger gets caught at the edges when swiping.
The solution is not to buy a second tier band ... but to manufacture the product so that it fits together properly.

the solution is not to swipe all the way up and down and I just received a third party replacement band which is perfectly flush.

Is the watch band where it connects to the watch face supposed to sit high than the watch face? I just snagged my clothing on the edge. My charge 2 was flush. I just got the charge 3 as a replacement.  I've had it an hour and debating sending back if thats how they are made.
