I have reached out to Fitbit several times about getting a replacement for my broken Fitbit. It only broke due to a design flaw so you would think Fitbit would replace it. I am frustrated and disappointed that Fitbit would treat its customers with little respect. I was shoot until my Fitbit broke and have been patient through the process of trying to replace my Fitbit. I feel like I am in a laundry machine getting nowhere. Has anyone else have a broken band connector? Did they replace your Fitbit?

I don't think that the size of your wrist had a single solitary thing to do with it. The product is defective and they admit it. What kind of company does that and doesn't fix it???

My Fitbit 4 band connector has broken twice under warranty. Called Fitbit each time and got a new one within a week. I recommend calling vs email. After the initial phone call I received an email within minutes to process my replacement.

I used epoxy but carefully as not dusable the spring and catch in the connector. It work for one month then the epoxy gave up it grip to the plastic charge 4. They offered a 30% discount when I showed pictures of problem and repair.. I did not purchase another due to the flaw...
I would try APS or PVC solvent glues to see if it fuses the plastic together.
Unfortuantely Yes! It's a weakness where the tiny screws go into two little plastic posts. The post get fatiqued and break off.

I purchased a band on Amazon that will hold the Fitbit Charge 3 or 4 with broken connectors. It's not elegant but it's cheaper than buying a new Fitbit!

I could never find out what type of plastic it is made of so I stopped any further attempts at repair the connector issue. As you will see another Fitbit
"Unfortunate" found on Amazon a watch protector type watchband.
I ordered one for my charge 4.

No I don't think any of us will be seeing you or your company around.
I know you had hundreds of thousands of these made and you can't redo them. You should have excepted the losses and offer reimburses for faulty design. Offering 30% toward a new watch on your companies website is insanely stupid.
You are killing your customer base and people will find alternatives..We don't really need you of Fitbit any more. BTW Your frequent or recent menu Item database only holds 20 items. Put in a new food item and another item falls off after 20.
Tech support would never confirm that after I provided visual evidence.
Bye bye...

Yes, and it is clear to all of us on here now. They should do more than make a profit on another forced sale.. Despicable.
Amazon has protected watchbands for$15 to drop the charge 4 into. I'm waiting to get mine.

My previous Fitbit lasted for two years and still works. My Charge 4 lasted two weeks before the band broke. It is very difficult to take the watch off because of the way the band is constructed. This puts a lot of stress on the place where the band attaches to the watch and it will fail. A very serious design flaw. Don’t bother trying to glue. It will not last. Because I purchased from a reseller, I am basically screwed according to Fitbit’s return policy.

Excellent post. Couldn't have said it better. What company shoots themselves in the foot like this? They know they have a defect but do nothing to fix it. Instead they continue to pump them out and expect their customers to pay for their incompetence!!! And insult their customers in the process by placating them with a small discount to buy the same defective product over again. How stupid do they think we are??? That's why I am recommending everyone buy the replacement band on Amazon for $15 that can hold the damaged Charge 3 or 4. It's not elegant, but it works just fine...

not sure if this helps, but I've had mine replaced twice now through fitbit. I suppose it was covered by the warranty and not the separate insurance I purchased. I stayed a chat with fitbit and opted for the free replacement.
I bought my charge 4 in April 2021, and the connector broke by November. I had that one since December, after I could no longer piece the connector together to stay on the band, but now this one broke completely by May 2022. it's definitely a defect and flaw in the design, as I also use a metal band (in an attempt to keep up with the wear and tear due to my job). I brought this up to fitbit support both times, but am doubting they will do anything to improve the obviously faulty connector. both times the reps did initially misunderstand me and tried to just send a new band, but the problem is the connector itself, requiring a watch replacement.
in the future I'll be saving up for a new model, which hopefully won't have the same connector issues. wish I'd known before I bought this one though.

Unfortunately, the tech support personnel know exactly what the watchband problem is. They just play along because no parts can fix the connector posts that are molded into the main watch body.
I wound up buying a protective watch band on Amazon that the charge 4 body sits in. Thanks for post and vote..Al

I decided to stop playing their game and went to Amazon and purchased a band that can hold the damaged Charge 4 inside of it. Costs between $10-$15. Beats Fitbit out of making me buy a new one! Isn't as elegant but works just fine...
