Today I am finding that my Charge 4 is only keeping a charge for about 3 hours, whether I am exercising or not. I have seen this before with a previous watch. Fitbit downloaded an update and it caused the problem of updating so often that the batteries were dying quickly. I do not know if that is the problem here. All I know is I lost the data for my 5-mile walk this morning. I have reset the watch, turned off GPS, and recharged it, three times so far today. The problem is not going away. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to get out of this predicament? My watch is less than two years old.

I’m experiencing the same issue. I wonder if it’s from the update.

I'm getting the same issue! This is my second fitbit that hasn't lasted well! I hope they get it sorted soon. It's left on charge more than I'm wearing it and I've disabled a majority of the features in a bid to get more battery life but absolutely nothing is prolonging the battery. So frustrating!

Same issue started with me. This is the second one I’ve had issues with Charge 3 display faded so bad couldn’t use it.

Quite a few people are having problems Wirth the battery nor holding a charge. Seems to have started after the last update.

I called and they were no help at all. All they heard was battery and decided my battery was dying. They were no help at all with the software issue.

Well holy moly, I was ready to blame swimming and water intrusion - because my Charge 4 started doing the very same thing this week!!! (Just 2 days after I started swimming with it.) I'd get like 3 hours from the thing.
Not cool Fitbit.. not cool.
After a few charge cycles I seem to be getting a day usage again, but when it used to last 5 days.....

Hi all, just thought I'd share an update. After contacting Fitbit directly, and a few diagnostic checks (fully charge tracker, note time and date, sync at least 4 times during battery life, note time and date tracker becomes unresponsive and report back) Fitbit have promised to send an identical replacement or offered 50% off a newer/different tracker. I've opted for a direct replacement and hopefully this one will last a little longer! Although it was a bit of a faff doing the diagnostic checks, the overall experience and result was straightforward and easy. Fingers crossed my replacement arrives swiftly. I used Twitter messages to communicate and they were generally very helpful. Keep messaging if you don't hear back from them! Good luck 👍

Same issue here. Started a couple days ago and the battery goes for only a few hours then dead.

Yes and just started this on Saturday, July 2nd! They sent me a discount code for a new one, said it's abnormal. Seems to me that it needs investigated if this many people just started experiencing the same issue at the same time! The charge 4 isn't offered via www.fitbit.com any longer so I'm upgrading to Charge 5....really didn't want to but didn't see another option.

I did and I believe you were the one to respond and said it's abnormal. For this many people to have the same issue in such a small timeframe seems pretty ironic. I've already ordered a Charge 5 using the discount code that I was sent but I'm not happy about it. I'm currently charging my Charge 4 for the 2nd time today due to it completely draining.
