My fitbit charge 4 stopped working. And it happened few days after I went for a swimming. Suddenly, my screen went black. I noticed condensed water vapor in the sensors. Hence, I kept it in the rice for 24 hours. The vapor was gone. I connected it to its charger, and followed the restarting procedures. While I get the smile face, and also vibrates when I press the button but the sensors is no more working n screen is still black. I was surprised to see vapors back again. I can't sync, and I can't do anything about it. Is it because of the water vapor inside?. Believe me the vapors are in tiny amount, condensed on the sensors glass. It's been more than 4 days now. Anybody faced the same problem?

Yes, the smiley face appears, but I cannot do anything after that. It vibrates when I hold the side button, but none of the sensors light up. Tried changing the clock face as well. it did not work.

I have the same issue...black screen..smiley face briefly shows, but nothing else. Sometimes vibrates but no display. Got very hot on the charger so I took it off. It was fine this morning, then I noticed it stopped while I was out. I thought it might have needed to be charged but when I went to charge it, I noticed the condensation.
Is there a fix for this?
I noticed this issue posted for other devices too. Seems like waterproof doesn't really mean water proof.

Just in case anyone else has this issue-there is no fix. Fitbit offered me the typical 35% off to buy another faulty device because mine was 'out of warranty'. Technically, it was 6 months old because it was a replacement for another faulty Fitbit but they don't care. I'm researching other brands because these devices don't last.

From my experience, if this happens, there is nothing you can do to fix it.
When my Charge 3 was just over a year old, it got condensation inside the sensors and died. I called Fitbit and they wouldn't help because it had gone out of warranty.
I then made the unwise decision to buy a new Charge 4. It worked for 1.5 years. Given what happened with my Charge 3, I tried to never get my Charge 4 wet. Unfortunately, earlier this week I got in the pool with my Charge 4 on without thinking to take it off and it stopped working shortly after.
I'm not going to waste my money on Fitbit devices any more! They use to be good quality (I have used Fitbits since I purchased a Fitbit One when they first came out) but now seem to be poor quality 😞

I have the same issue. I read that Fitbits are only made to last 2 years

Well, it seems that Fitbit has truly gone down the crapper. I have had previous issues with these just stopping working and now it seems my Charge 4 has suffered the same death as responses above. Goodbye Fitbit/Google. No more of my money for you.

I got a replacement from the Fitbit, but it encountered the same fate after three months. It is no more working. Bought a Garmin, paid more but going great.
