Charge 4 -Brightness, heart rate issues after Firmware update 1.100.76

Since installing the "urgent" firmware update 1.100.76, my Charge 4 has gone crazy.  The brightness level of the screen flips back and forth like a strobe light; I can be sitting still and it shows my heart rate spiking to 120 and then dropping to almost 60 over the course of 10-15 seconds; sometimes the heart rate just won't pick up at all and the band hasn't moved at all on my wrist.  I've tried resetting the heart rate monitor, and my next step is a hard reset of the tracker, but has anybody else had issues?
