Charge 4 - Different step totals compared to walk buddy

My walking buddy and I walk the same distance and she had 17,789 steps and I only had 10,633.  How can this be?  This happens to me frequently when I walk with people, namely, they always have more steps than me.  Why?

Depending on you personal information, your stride length will be calculated. 

Depending on your stride length and the ne of your walking buddy, you're amount of steps might differ. 

 Eg. if you do longer steps as your walking buddy, you'll need less steps than he/she to do the same distance.

I do realize this and she is much shorter than me, but 7,000 steps different is like she walked 3 miles more without me which she didn’t.

@Pkjones , Nice to see you back! Have you tried to setup your stride length manually? 

Does this 3 miles difference show in and her tracker?

Do you move your wrist a lot during your walk?
