Charge 4 Display "disappeared"

hi all,

about a week ago i realized that the display of my charge 4 was darker than usual. first i thought its a problem with the brightness sensor or a setting. but no - it kept darker.

and then from day to day it went even darker, first in general and then from the edges to the middle.

now its complete dark although its fully working. it responds with vibrating when pressing the button, it synchronizes with my smartphone..

does anybody have/had the same problem or any idea?

grettings from germany

Similar issue here. My charge4 was in discharged state for few months. After charging again, the display is not working. All the tracker functions are working and syncing with app.

Tried 8 second reset, 15 second reset. Nothing works.

Same issue here. Charge 4 screen is fading and has been for a couple of weeks. I updated the firmware, but it continues to fade. It was never depleted as far as charge - I keep it above 50%. Following this thread.

Having a similar issue, thought it must be the battery so plugged it in to recharge. Saw that the time was reading as 9:38 pm (it’s 1:30 pm) and 17k steps. It then completely reset and I lost all activity info for the day (today, 12/18/22).

so much for my streak…

so, not sure if it’s firmware related or not, but it’s disappointing to lose half a day’s activity.

Mine just went black. Seems like the functions are working. Just no screen and no way to hard restart if I can't see anything. This is my 2nd one that just crapped out. I bought something else.

bit different here - it was working 24/7, no discharge. but the display went darker and darker

LuckyStella, it was still working here (counting, sync, sleeptracker - all was fine) - just without showing something on the display.

This is exactly what happened to mine over the past 2 weeks. I can only see it very dimly when in a pitch black room. Everything still seems to function - just not the screen.
