Charge 4 I have lost the option 'notifications'

Same with my charge 4... I have lost the ability select if and what notifications will be sent to my charge 4 from the android app.  This seems to have occurred at about the time the web app dashboard was disabled and a the latest fitbit update for android was applied.

This is what the "Device" screen on the android app is SUPPOSED to look like... (and did up until the 1st week in July). (image taken from a "DIY" video)

This is what it looks like now (image taken from my phone)

WHERE ARE THE NOTIFICATION OPTIONS?

Hi @Pratibha1 @Ste-v-b. Welcome to the community forums.

Thank you for sharing the inquiry regarding notifications, the screnshots provided and for trying to fix it on your own. . Sorry to know the difficulty that you are experiencing.

I'd suggest you going through the settings on your phone:

  • Open your device's Settings app.
  • Tap Notifications > App settings.
  • Under "Most recent", find apps that recently sent you notifications.
  • Tap the Fitbit app.
  • Turn all the app's notifications on.

On your Charge 4:

  • From the the clock screen, press and hold the button, and swipe left to the quick settings screen. Make sure the Do Not Disturb and Sleep Mode settings are off.

If this is correct, I'd recommend to try the following steps:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings in your phone and forget your Charge 4 from the list.
  2. Turn off the Bluetooth in your phone and any other device nearby.
  3. Make sure the Fitbit app is updated.
  4. Force quit the Fitbit app and reboot your phone.
  5. Restart your Charge 4 with the charging cable as described here.
  6. Open the Fitbit app, tap the little device icons (upper left corner) tap Charge 4 > hit Sync now option and accept the request to pair your tracker via Bluetooth.
  7. Try receiving a notification on your phone to test your tracker.

This did not help.

Look closely at the image and notice that the "Notifications" button no longer appears. If has been permanently removed, I will need to look for other solutions as notifications is one of the primary reasons I have a Fitbit device.

Thanks for the response @Ste-v-b

Sorry to know that you are still having this difficulty.

Please, try to perform the following troubleshooting steps on the Fitbit app:

  • Log out from the app.
  • Clear Cache for the Fitbit app on your phone's settings (Settings > Apps > Fitbit app > Storage > Clear cache)
  • Restart your phone.
  • Log back in to check if you're able to see your information.
  • Try to set up your Charge 4 as a new device in your account if you're still having the same problem.
  • Make sure the Fitbit app and your phone's operating system are updated to the latest version available.

Disconnecting my device and setting it up as a new device solved it!

WEIRD!

And, thank you!
