Charge 4 Never Gives Sleep Score

My charge 4 analyzes my sleep but never gives me a sleep score.  I had come to rely on it with other Fitbit’s but not the Charge 4.  Why doesn’t it work?

Hi Jackson1965

Try this:

If your Charge 4 isn't displaying sleep score, make sure it's tracking sleep stages at night, this is necessary in order to have sleep score. Also, double check that Heart rate is turned on, this to ensure sleep stages are tracked.

There are a few scenarios where you might see your sleep pattern (which shows your time asleep, restless, and awake) instead of sleep stages:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

No matter what I do the sleep score is sometimes there and sometimes not.  Very inconsistant.  I really liked that feature

This is rediculous now, I've had my charge 4 since November and was stupid enough to think that by upgrading from a different fitbit that this one would start tracking sleep. This is false advertising by Fitbit that there devices track sleep, they DO NOT !!! I've tried every suggestion they give and it still does not consistently track sleep.

I get infrequent scores. I’ve had four scores over a six month period. I’ve tried everything. I’m very disappointed in my charge 4.
