Only had just over 2 months have been trying all the recommendations to fix and the touch screen just will not respond. Have uninstalled app / reset by plugging into mains and holding side to reset (several times) / have checked not in sleep mode. I cannot get it to work. Help or advice appreciated please.

Just to avoid misunderstandings, the issue is that the swipe feature is not working, or the display does not turn on when tapping or turning the wrist?
Does the display start when you press the button?
The steps to restart the tracker were these? How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Fitbit - stop pretending you aren't familiar with the problem. There are at least hundreds of your customers reporting the same exact issues.
