My charge 4 will not sync or come on at all. It fully charge and the screen is just black. I've tried everything and suggests.

My fully charged Fitbit charge 4 still synced at around 22h30 last night but this morning my sleep data was not found in the app, I could not sync and my Fitbit is OFF (no green lights to record pulse and activities). So, the Fitbit died in its sleep, peacefully? Or what can be done to resuscitate it?

Considering these things do not last more than two years for me, I am not sure what to do about it.

Ya it’s kinda weird how this happened about a week or two after a firmware update. I bet there is something to it.

I saw an ad for an Inspire 3 for $99 US. The email Fitbit sent to me provided a coupon code to get $50 US off of any product except the Inspire 3, Ace 2, Ace 3, Versa 4 and Sense 2. Lol....I ended up getting a Fitbit charge 5 for $94 US.
I find it pretty sad that Fibit sent out a firmware update that effectively kills its products so as to send us a coupon to buy more of their products. I will say that when Apple watch figures out the battery life issue, in two years when my Charge 5 dies from a firmware "Fix", I may buy the Apple watch.

Hi @SunsetRunner, Not only did the last update affect the Charge 4 but after reading the device forums it affected the Charge 5, Inspire 2, Versa 3 and the Luxe. I believe that Fitbit knew (from testing before the update launch) what would happen with the updates but decided that it would only happen to a small percentage of their customers and the benefits to the greater percentage outweighed those that would suffer. Fitbit didn’t suffer, if a person was in warranty and they wanted a replacement, more then likely that replacement would be a refurbished device. For those that wanted to use their 50% or 35% off the original, not sale price of Selected devices it, that price is still above their cost, (I was surprised to hear you say that they offered you $50 off). They may lose some customers but not enough to hurt them. I’m thinking that somewhere in the small print when we check accept to their conditions they have covered their a— against taking any responsibility or lawsuits. Because I am on my third Charge 4 I did not update and I keep my fingers crossed that they don’t force one through. Good luck with your Charge 5, read through some of the threads on its forum to see what issues others have had but especially before doing any future updates to see what problems that update may bring you. Enjoy your new device!!

Thanks.
In advance I read about the Charge 5 and found the reviews to be very helpful. There's a glitch with the GPS functionality however I am okay with that glitch. I guess I'll be back on the boards again in two years when Fitbit decides to shut down the Charge 5. When that happens I will switch to the Garmin or Apple watch.
Cheers!

Hi @HG-MG, The Inspire 3’s original retail cost is $99 in the US which I believe is equivalent to your 84 GPB. You are lucky that your warranty period is 2 years, ours is only 1 year and all my previous Charge 4’s died at 13 or 14 months. Check out buying on Amazon and purchasing their 3 year warranty which guarantees you a full refund (not a refurbished replacement) if the device fails. Good luck
