Charge 4 auto snoozing the alarms

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My charge 4 is occasionally auto snoozing the smart wake alarm. I have it set for 6:40 every weekday so it should go off between 6:10 and 6:40.

This morning my phone alarm woke me up. Checked my Fitbit alarms and it shows that its snoozed. I got up and waited to see if it would actually go off and it didn't, it just restarted the snooze timer with no input from me.

This is not the first time it has happened but it doesn't all the time. It has done it a few times though sporadically. I've tried deleting the alarm and setting a new one and I've tried restarting the Fitbit.

Any other suggestions?

Welcome to the Community, @efritsch.

Thanks for troubleshooting this alarms issue. To make sure you are turning off the alarms, I recommend opening the Alarms app > tap the alarm > turn the alarm off.

Let me know the outcome.

Thats not my issue. My issue is that my alarm isn't functioning.  When I check it, it says it has been snoozed but it never actually alerts me, it just constantly resets the snooze timer.

Hi Alejandra,

I have the same problem. Alarm seems to fire without vibrating. Already the 5th morning in a row. Alarm page shows that it's snoozed.

The vibrator hardware itself works, it does it's job when I receive a text message.

Any hints?

Cheers

The base alarms on mine work but the smart wake most often does not and
when it doesn't, it doesn't go off at all. Just shows that it has been
snoozed.

I am still waiting for an e-mail from support.

Hi @AlejandraFitbit ,

this looks clearly as a software bug to me. Any news from your support team you could ideally share in this thread here?

Cheers

I've been having the same problem the last few weeks, and seemed to start around the time of the latest update. Now running 2001.100.34, Charge 4.

I'm having the same problem. The alarm snoozes without ever actually activating, and every time the snooze elapses it just re-snoozes without buzzing or displaying anything to me. This is a smart wake alarm, which was originally working fine, but switched over to doing this a few days ago.

Now running 20001.100.43. Problem still exists. On the Alarm screen it shows the alarm is snoozing, but it never once vibrated.

It's now all alarms, not just smart wake. They occasionally work but mostly don't - maybe 1 day a week I'll get the alarm.

Silent alarms and smart wake was the best feature of the Charge 4, looking for an alternative now.

Is there a solution for this yet? Mine started auto snoozing a few weeks back.. rebooted the fitbit but that didn't help 😞

I've updated the fitbit, deleted all the alarms, rebooted, then added the alarms back.

Seems to be more reliable now. I can't say if it's 100% fixed.

yep, that did help.. I didn't have any updates but removing the alarms + reboot seems to have fixed it.

Thanks!

Wanted to alert that I am having this issue on my Charge 4 as well. Deleted the alarm and rebooted, as per community suggestion above, but would be great if this were fixed! Having alarms go off is relatively important 😉

My Charge 4 is doing exactly the same 😣 I set my smart alarm for 7am, so it should go off between 6:30 and 7am, but it never went off! It snoozed itself without my touching it. Once I was awake, I watched it, waiting to see if it would go off after the snooze, but it just auto-snoozed itself again!

Will there be any response from the Fitbit team on this? Seems like it's happening to a lot of people...

Six months on this is an issue for me too. Come on Fitbit!

I have the same issue. My alarms are not working at all. They regular alarms do not go off, nor do the smart wake. I “reset” the Fitbit. It shows a snooze - but the alarm never even buzzd! I tried (but it won’t allow them) to include pictures of the snooze, an alarm that is inactive, and one that is active. Also a pic of the DND. I checked DND (which was an error of mine in the past). These alarms are my number one use of the watch, and now I have to set backup alarms on my phone because they don’t work.

This problem happened to me today, literally a year after the original post. Does Fitbit just not care about fixing problems with their products?

And almost a year later, it's still happening, and nobody's even bothered to reply to my post about it from a year ago. Wow. Will definitely be leaving some bad reviews for my Fitbit after this, if this is how much y'all care about fixing problems with your devices.
