I was taking my Fitbit Charge 4 off one day and the Band Holder broke off. I don't know if it is even possible to fix. I only have two pieces and after watching YouTube my spring is gone. One of the screw holes has a screw in it. How am I to fix this. My Fitbit was purchased in April 2020 and the website says there is no warranty when I tried to file a claim. Now I am back to my Fitbit Charge 2 which seems to be build better than the 4.
Can anyone help me?

Just adding on here -- if you go this route, just be aware that your Fitbit after breaking is probably not waterproof anymore. So even if you use one of these straps, which do work really well for our busted Charge 4s, water might kill the device.

Same here, back to my charge 2. The difference is the clasp mechanism. For some reason they switched to wimpy plastic and the charge 2 has more durable metal. Nothing to be done, since it's out of warranty. I'm looking into a third party repair since Fitbit can't get it together.

customers have contacted fitbit customer service for support but have not received it - despite the countless posts about the exact same issue - the connector piece of the charger breaking apart - causing a still functioning main unit to be useless because you cant connect it to a band, fitbit does nothing to rectify this obvious defect. instead, they are offered a % discount to buy another. the problem has occurred in so many units that it has created the need for a new product: a band with a case, in which you slip your rectangular main unit into the case, which serves like a glove. the problem is that these case bands are bulky and very limited in style options and we customers should not have to pay more money for a fitbit design flaw. it is truly baffling & disappointing how this issue is being handled.

Was your Fitbit charge 4 under warranty?

Hi, my Fitbit charge 4 band holder broke off too but my charge 4 is more than a year so it is out of warranty. If I can get free replacement I be happy but if not then I am done with Fitbit. I will get Garmin or Apple Watch.
Can you help me please?

Thank you. Did you send email or chatted them through Twitter?
They would only give 35% discount.

Basically a fitbit charge not sure of their other trackers are only good for about 2.5 years. I had a protection plan on my charge 4 which expired int September of 2022. And charge 4 broke in December 2022. I did purchase a new charge 5 with the 35% off the regular price not a discounted sale price. I did not buy their protection plan since it was not worth the money based on what happened to my charge 4. Plus they use a 3rd party vendor for the protection plan. I use it pretty much for tracking my daily steps. The charge 5 has many new features that I may never use. Plus the band is very different from charge 4. The end of the strap tucks under the strap. I had purchased an additional band from another vendor in another color but it was so stiff that I returned it. I found a sport watch band that functions like a normal watch band. Each new version of a fitibit has new features which is why they do not want to support the older versions. Plus Fitbit is now owned by Google

I actually got a message today and was offered 35% off another Fitbit….not sure if I want that. It states it is not valid with any other offers so I think that means not sale items….I can get cheaper on sale at sporting goods store, than I can with 35% off from Fitbit.

it is 35% off of the full retail price not on a sale item

Mine just broke as well, had since 01/21 so again another that has lasted just short of 2.5 years. Got to wait for an email with options for either a replacement or a discount. Pretty much already decided if they offer a paltry discount against full RRP I#ll be jumping ship to apple!

Mine broke the same just after my warranty expired. Support said that it can’t be fix. The best they can do is offer a discount on a new one. A device like this should last several years of use. I won’t be buying another Fitbit. Not interested in buying a disposable device.

Mine broke exactly the same way and well within the warranty period. Fitbit support have refused to honor the warranty... and didn't even provide a reason for doing so. just amazed that such a high profile company can treat their customers in such a way!!!

Seems sus. I would suggest a known flaw and they don’t replace a faulty product is very poor customer service and might impinge on your consumer rights
