Charge 4 band holder broke off

I was taking my Fitbit Charge 4 off one day and the Band Holder broke off. I don't know if it is even possible to fix. I only have two pieces and after watching YouTube my spring is gone. One of the screw holes has a screw in it. How am I to fix this. My Fitbit was purchased in April 2020 and the website says there is no warranty when I tried to file a claim. Now I am back to my Fitbit Charge 2 which seems to be build better than the 4.

Can anyone help me?

Hi
Someone on the community suggested buying a different strap that fits the fit bit charge 4. I bought one and you firt the Fitbit body into the strap which doesn’t break!. Its working well😊

I bought one of those bands and, yes - it works. BUT, because of where the band attachment part broke off, note that your device may no longer be watertight, and water can get in where the screws are and fry your charge. Ask me how I know … 🙁

Well its working for me and is far better than the substandard Fitbit watch strap that breaks as soon as you use it.
Maybe take your Fitbit off if going swimming!

I rang customer support and after sending photos they came to the party
with a free replacement of charge 4 or 50% off another model - so I went
with Versa 3

This just happened to me 2 days ago. The band holder did not fully come off yet, it's halfway off but the screws are still in place. I received this as a gift in Feb 2021 so I assume I am out of warranty. Can I try to glue it back into place?

Yes, you can glue it back. I had success gluing mine. However, you can't
use regular glue or super glue. You have to use UV light-activated glue
(like they use for dental crowns). I used Bondic <> and
kept building it up until it was incredibly strong. Good luck. Hope this
helps.

I glued the band in place, but I did contact Customer Support and they
didn't even ask when I purchased my Charge 4 (2 years old). They gave me a
case number and I supplied photos. They came back to me with an offer of
replacing the Charge 4 or 50% off another product - so I went with the
Versa 3. Before the offer came in, I was looking at Garmin. Good luck

Hey Thanks for that information on the strap for the charge 4. Don't know
if I'll get one though because I got real comfortable carrying it around in
my pocket. I will check it out though. Thanks

I've replaced my strap several times since I've had it (over two years), but recently the strap has started to come off several times a day, uncoupling at the connection. Even when I changed for another new one. It ony take a slight knock or putting an arm through a sleeve for it to come off. Does this mean that the main connection is now probably faulty rather than the strap? I assume this would mean a complete replacement now?

Are there any bands that people have found that don't require the clips?  Mine have broken and are out of warranty. 😕

As many many Charge 4 customers have posted one of my band's connectors broke.  I was offered a lousy discount as compensation.

I am a long time Fitbit user but won't be no longer.  I feel used and ripped off.

@TAJ7 your post was moved to this thread where others are discussing the same topic. See what they are saying and their solutions.

Odyssey13,

Still feeling used and ripped off. Now you have insulted me.

Moving me to a thread with the statements I should "see what they are saying andbsee what thier solution is" insulting.

I know what they are saying, we feeling used and ripped off, and the solution is not for the customers to solve but the company that intentionally sells a defective product and then refuses to fix the problem.

I had the same problem.  Connect6or for the strap spontaneously broke off my Charge 4 tracker.  Good news: I was successful in a repair.  Search for "Broken strap connector: Successfully repaired! DIY"
