Charge 4 being very weird. vibrating and resetting

After a swim my charge 4 went crazy. As if I was pressing buttons and the screen but I wasn't. It was vibrating a lot and screens were flashing on and off.

I took it off my wrist and it calmed down.

But screen was blank and not responding.

I put it on the usb charger and got the smiley face but nothing else. Since then sometimes it vibrates a bit and the face comes on but mostly the unit is blank.

What's happened and why, and can it be fixed?

Doing a 10 second long press doesn't seem to reset it.

Tried another reset after a few hours on charge. Same result with the smiley face and then blank screen. Then lots of vibrating on and off like a call is happening. Weird!!

Have noticed moisture behind window on back. Guess it's not that waterproof after the warranty runs out. Feel robbed. Put it on radiator as have no rice, will post follow up later.

Response from customer service was ..

If it's under warranty send it to us.

There are no repair or service agents anywhere for older units.

Once the Fitbit is out of warranty and stops working it is scrap. Have a 35% discount code off a new one.

Huff. Might buy a Garmin or Huawei.
