The connector pieces between the hardware and the wrist band have broken. Looking at the watch, I'm not sure how you would be able to repair it. How do I go about exercising a warranty claim? This is my fifth fitbit watch, with only one claim for a wrist band. I hope this brand loyalty is acknowledged.

You are wasting your time. I was so upset when this happened to me and I contacted Fitbit repeatedly. I received the same lame runaround everyone gets on their Charge 4. My advice to you: give it up. They will never provide you the customer service you are hoping for. Instead, buy a band that the sensor fits inside and move on.

same here
My wife and me bought Charge 4 in September 2020, just one week after the warranty expiration, the wrist band connector in both trackers was broken.
The importer wasn't ready to do anything about it and hasn't proposed any solution.
i already bought other product from different company and it is designed in a manner that such problem can never happen.
Charge 4 was my third Fitbit, liked it, but seems the Google acquisition didn't do any good to them

i've tried it, even with different kinds of glue, it doesn't work

Same thing has happened to me. The Charge 4 is just a cheaply made watch. Period. The plastic connector is not strong enough to hold the bands. I have had one replaced already. It arrived dead. would not charge. send it back and got another, that just broke. It lasted 5 months. The company has become a joke, making them cheap, charging the same dollar amount. if they replace this one, great. If not, I'll move on to a Kore??? have read they are pretty good.

If you are not under warranty or want a quick easy fix while waiting for a reply, Amazon carries third party bands that encompass the pebble so you can still wear your Fitbit even with a broken attachment. They are reasonable $8-$15 and solve the problem. Not fashionable but at least you can still use your Fitbit. Good luck!

If you follow the support links you can get information to call a number of get on a chat. HOWEVER, whatever your problem is, that person cannot help you. s/he will tell you "the next team will look at your issue and contact you with a resolution". I was told that a week ago with no contact. I chatted with "support" today and got the same response. When I asked how long I might have to wait for a response, the individual told me he didn't know. So far, based on my limited experience, you get to talk or chat with someone in customer support who cannot do anything. IF there is anyone who can do something, that person is overwhelmed or not capable of actually responding. Since Fitbit just had a major recall, it's possible they are overwhelmed - no excuse since everyone who has the recalled model is obviously being offered the exact same information which should not take more than a couple seconds to provide.

It appears the Fitbit Charge 4 is designed to last 14 months before it starts to disintegrate. Not very good message for the company. I suppose I could buy just the pebble (available on e-bay for about $45) or give up on the charge 4 and look at a different model or a different brand.

Yes they do. I have to remove the tracker to charge but everything else works fine.

Yes, you just need to remove it to charge it

Yes. The band for the Charge 4 has nothing to do with functions.

my Fitbit charge 4 purchase was from Walmart. I bought the 2 year warranty offered at the store , for $ 15 . Tried to put in a claim . It doesn’t seem to cover this particular issue .
So frustrated and disappointed !

Seems like a good and reasonably priced solution..
I really do NOT want to BUY a new Fitbit . Thank you for posting this option .👌
My FITBIT is being held on my wrist with a rubber band , so this will definitely be an upgrade 👏🏻

I would be frustrated also. Did they say that it wasn’t covered because of normal wear & tear or because of a product defect?
How does the warranty read? It is also possible that because of so many problems with the Charge 4 that they changed their warranty. I know that Best Buy no longer offers a warranty on Fitbit purchases. There are 6 or 7 different brands of bands that Amazon has that will work prices range from $7.99-$16.99.
