Charge 4 can't connect or sync to bluetooth/fitbit app/phone

Hello,

My Charge 4 stopped syncing to my fitbit app and phone. I tried all the recommended trouble-shooting steps:

  1. Removed my Charge 4 from the Bluetooth settings on my phone
  2. Checked if the fitbit app was updated
  3. Force stopped the fitbit app and rebooted my phone
  4. Restarted my Charge 4
  5. Opened the fitbit app and pulled down on the screen to force a manual sync.
    1. This did not work so I proceeded with step 6
  6. Removed my Charge 4 from the Bluetooth settings on your phone
  7. Force quitted the fitbit app and restarted my Charge 4 again
  8. Opened the fitbit app, tapped my profile picture and tried to set up a device
  9. Selected my Charge 4 and tried to connect

The app got as far as trying to pair with the Charge 4 but then got stuck there; I sat around for 15 minutes waiting for it to complete its operation. I eventually gave up and repeated steps 1 through 9 a couple of more times before gave up completely. And now my Charge 4 won't even connect to my bluetooth (I tried to manually pair my fitbit to my phone via the bluetooth settings). I have a Galaxy S21 phone.

Are there any other steps I can take? Or should I be resigned to just using it as a watch?

Thanks!

Hello,

I also recently traded in my phone for an S23. I hoped that I would then be able to sync my fitbit to my phone. Unfortunately, still no luck.

I finally got it to work.

Turned off Bluetooth for a few minutes. Then turned it back on.

Brought up my profile.

Clicked on the Charge 4 Icon.

Requested a sync.

was informed it needed pairing.

Replied yes to pairing.

It actually paired.

Was able to force a sync.
