I'm having the same issue. No gear icon for my weather app. Location services are on.

Hi, did you solve the problem for the weather app? I am having the same problem now and I'm just purchased.

Yes...it fixed itself. I installed the AccuWeather app onto my cellphone. It took about 2 days for the Fitbit to automatically update. Once it updated, the GPS and the Weather app began working! (I just wished they would have this information in the instructions!) Good luck!

I understand how are you feeling and appreciate the feedback provided. As you were able to note, Charge 4 requires an update in order to enable the features you are waiting to see. This update should begin to download in the background following setup and should complete within 48 hours. In order to complete the update, please ensure the app is open in the background and regularly syncing.

Where do I install this? It's missing from my fit charge 4?

It's great to see you around, @littleangel1977.

 

To set up the Weather app:

  1. In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab 
     
    > your profile picture > your device image > Apps.
  2. Tap the gear icon 
     
    next to Weather. You may need to swipe up to find the app.
  3. By default, the Weather app shows your current location, which can't be deleted. Add up to 2 additional locations you want to see in the Weather app.
  4. Sync your device with the Fitbit app. It can take a few minutes to see the updated list of locations on your device.

If the weather doesn't update, check the following settings:

  • Location services must be turned on for the Fitbit app. For instructions, see How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?
  • The Fitbit app must remain running in the background on your phone.

If you change locations, sync your device to see your new location in the Weather app.

Hi Alejandra and Fitbit Community,

 

I'm having the same issue with my Charge 4. I've made sure Fitbit is allowed to run in the background, that location settings are allowed, and GPS is on. And I've manually synced with the app multiple times. But I still can't access the weather my device. Thank you for any advice!
