Hello,
Since last week this problem occurred twice now. My fitbit charge 4 is counting steps I my sleep. And while I understand that some movements will count as steps these 2 times its been over 10000 within 15 minutes... either I am this amazing sleeprunner or there is some kind of problem with my fitbit, I will go for the last option 😅
I cannot find any Dutch customer support so if there's anyway someone can help me or help me reach out to customer support please let me know!
Demi

Hi, @Demis did the steps show on your wrist, or just in the app, and did the steps persist? There has been a little bug for a while not in the Fitbit but in the app where it will suddenly show many thousands of steps when it first syncs, but then they disappear very quickly and the number rights itself. If the steps did not show on your wrist, it is unlikely to be an issue with the Fitbit itself, but with the app. It might be worth re-downloading the app (although take care if you have a very old phone that it means the minimum OS requirement).
It also is a good idea to restart your Fitbit whenever it is not behaving as expected, as that can solve many issues. Instructions here
If you need to get in touch with Fitbit Customer Support you can find ways of contacting them here
I hope this helps!

Hi!
I saw it on both my wrist as well as the app. And it's still there. I've tried to remove it by making another activity at the time of the steps, first off I typed driving, didn't find an existing activity with that name, tried it in Dutch also no luck. Typed in Yoga and 1 calorie burned but that didn't remove my steps. I've restarted my watch about an hour ago so now it's just a waiting game to see if it happens again or not I guess. If it happens again I'll try to contact customer service. It's quite difficult to find since I'm in The Netherlands and the chat won't work 😞

Hi, @Demis , your Fitbit Community status is not related to your steps, so at least that’s one thing that hasn’t gone wrong. I promise you I am not an ultramarathon racer!! (Though I did run the London marathon about 20 years ago...)
Community status is based on how many posts you make in the Community.
