Charge 4 disconnect and dark display

I bought this Charge4 for my wife over a year ago.   She wears it and I keep track of her 

Stats.  The display is never bright enough to see unless you are in a dark or shaded area even on the brightest setting.   As for connecting to her App on her Iphone, I have to make sure it's connected EVERY DAY and I have to make sure it's connected to the App EVERY NIGHT since 95% of the time it is not connected.   So, bottom line, I'm tired of babysitting this item.  I am giving Fitbit one more chance.  i have purchased a Versa3 for my wife.  When I was looking to buy the first one, I researched the Charge4 and the Versa3.  I'm sorry I didn't buy the Versa3 in the first place.   I will not recommend a charge4 to anybody.
