Charge 4 doesn't activate on wrist turn or with tapping and no alerts anymore

About a week ago, several features on my Charge 4 abruptly stopped working. They are as follows:
  1. The watch display does not activate on wrist turn. It also does not respond to tapping. It will only activate with the push of the button. This is extremely inconvenient as sometimes I would like to be able to see the time on my watch, but do not have two free hands.
  2. Does not alert to calls or texts
  3. No alert (vibration or notification) of heart rate zones during exercise
  4. No alert (vibration or notification) for 10k daily steps
  5. No alert (vibration or notification) for 150 weekly active minutes
  6. No alert (vibration or notification) for hourly move reminders
I know that the notifications (issues 2-5) are also settings in my profile for my device. They previously worked and nothing in my settings has changed. They stopped working at the same time that the watch stopped activating on wrist turn and with tapping.

I read on the fitbit support website that a suggested solution was to restart the watch. I have done this three times with no improvement. I've also charged the watch several times since the issue started to no avail.

These could all be explained by being in 'Sleep Mode'.

To turn Sleep Mode off in Quick Settings, hold in side button a few seconds, then scroll down to Sleep Mode and tap to turn off.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Did you check to see if Sleep Mode was accidentally turned on? It will cause all of the issues you listed.

Yes! This worked. Thank you so much!

Both Sleep Mode and Screen Wake, also in Quick Settings, seem to often get turned on accidentally.

That’s what it was for mine as well. But, how my Charge 4 got Sleep Mode turned on is beyond me. No human turned it on. 🙂
