Charge 4 doesn't do what it says on the box (no sleep data)

I paid good money for my Charge 4. It was hard for me to afford, but I got a good discount as my Charge 2 had stopped working, bricked after a few years. And it was worth it for all the features advertised. I've been loyal to FitBit for maybe 10 years now.  I don't want an Apple Watch, I like your devices, even with all the quirks.  I just wish your service was better, fixes are not forthcoming.

However, one of the main attractions was seeing sleep stats right there on my wrist.  The Charge 4 was priced accordingly to have this feature, a higher price than I paid for my Charge 2 which didn't, meaning I had to go into the app each time.  Sometimes I have been using it without the app, as my iPhone lacks storage space, so sometimes I can't get it on there. I thought this was the reason for my issue.  But I have been successfully been running the app on my phone for the past few months, and it's still a major issue.

This has in fact only happened very erratically, I could count the number of times on one hand, and I've had the device for around 6 months now.  Every morning I go into the app and check my sleep data, and it's there, if not I refresh and it comes up every time.  But it never appears on my wrist.  Actually hasn't appeared even once since I got the app up and running on my phone, and began checking and refreshing it daily.  The handful of times was in the first two months of owning it.  I just want to know, when my 2.5 year old wakes me early in the morning, should I take him back to bed and get another 40 winks, or am I all good to go on with my day?

I don't really want to hear that you've been working on it. I found a post from 2018, and your reply was "we're working on it".  Voted best answer last month, by one of your own, seriously?  I'm posting again, because I don't think I ever posted on it, it's not fixed, I can't find anything this year posted on it, and so I can only conclude that you must've forgotten.

Summing up your post, I surmise your issue is that you can see sleep stats on phone app but not on Charge 4 itself, is that correct?

Looking through the Charge 4 manual, I don't see anywhere stating you should see sleep stats on your wrist.  Did you see that listed as a feature somewhere, or just assuming it was there?  Not sure, but I was thinking that was available on the "smart watches" of the Versa and Sense families but not on the "Trackers" of the Charge and Inspire families.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

It’s definitely a feature of the Charge 4. It was a feature listed when I bought it from Fitbit.com and I was excited about it. One of the reasons I went for Charge 4 over Charge 3.

In addition there’s a blank space for the data on my wrist.  As I said in my post, I have seen it filled with data, but less than 5 times in the entire six months I’ve had the device, and not at all in the past 3 months since I’ve been checking daily for sleep data on my app.
