Charge 4 is not connecting to Spotify

I have purchased a new Charge 4 only 2 days ago. Spotify app has been downloaded via the fitbit app. Spotify account is a premium account. Charge 4 is synced with the Fitbit app & the mobile phone device has reception to use celluar data with spoitify.

Everytime i try to connect the spotify on the Charge 4 device, it continually says 'Start spotify on another device & it will appear here'. Nothing happens.

Does my phone need to be connected to wifi aswell for this to work? The phone uses spoitify all the time without wifi so i don't see why it would need wifi when it has its own phone celluar internet.

I have deleted the fitbit app & reinstalled, rebooted the Charge 4 device & Spoitify accounts.

@tegz_renee Welcome to the forums. I will gladly help you regarding the Spotify app on your Charge 4.

Thanks for the explanation and what you have tried on your own to solve this. This is my suggestion. Before you launch the Spotify app on the Charge 4, make sure the Charge 4 has synced with the Fitbit app. Start the music on your smartphone and then proceed to open the Spotify app, it should connect if everything is up to date.
