Hi there, @rottmama. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Charge 4.

I've seen you contacted our Support Team before posting here and they've already assisted you. If you still need help or have any questions/concerns regarding the outcome of your case, please feel free to contact our team back for further assistance.

Nevertheless, please keep in mind that your time asleep is calculated by subtracting your time spent awake and restless from your overall tracked sleep time. For example, if you slept 8 hours but woke up 2 times for 15 minutes each, your time asleep would be 7 hr 30 min.

To learn more about your time asleep in sleep stages, see What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?

Nevertheless, you can set your Fitbit device to track sleep in a sensitive mode. For information about how this setting works, see What's the difference between the normal and sensitive sleep setting?

If necessary, you can edit your sleep logs. For instructions, see How do I edit or delete sleep logs in the Fitbit app?

Thank you for answering, no, the chat thingy didn't answer my question
because the person helping left before I could get a screenshot to her. So
the problem never was solved because I couldn't get back to her chat.

So, I don't want any more chats. Yes, I know about editing my sleep cycle,
but that doesn't address the individual nights that were wrong. Just edits
what I WANT to sleep, not the actual sleep time for a specific night. I
know about the sleep cycles, I'm not a restless sleeper, I know within
minutes of when I go into deep sleep and all other cycles.

I will take advantage of the info on the sensitivie setting.

Thanks for the email. Maybe I can fix this, otherwise, the fitbit is losing
any advantages I wanted it for. No, I don't want another at this time even
with a discount. I buy watches that work, this one is not fulfilling its
function. It used to work properly and now it doesn't

Thank you

I'm having the same problem. Over the past several days, my Charge 4 stops recording my sleep a few hours before I wake up.

I tried going to the website and setting the control for sleep tracking to
'sensitive', but it hasn't changed, still starts recording 2 hours after I
get to sleep. I'm thinking it's not going to change, I'm not happy getting
full details that the fitbit promised

If you get yours to working, I'd be delighted to know how

It  seems erratic. Today it reported complete results.

Thanks for the feedback, mine is intermittent, too. One day works, followed
by many that don't
