Charge 4 is tracking my calories too low

Hello, I have the Charge 4 and I’m 5’2” 109 lbs. The Fitbit always tracks my BMR at 1055 calories and I feel that this is too low. Most sites say it should be around 1200. Can someone confirm if this is accurate? I use this to track my calorie intake and I don’t want to be in a severe caloric deficit if it’s inaccurate.

Hi there, @sadiolect. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the inconvenience with your calorie count.

As @JohnnyRow has mentioned, please note BMR stands for your basal metabolic rate. I'm 5’4” 115 lbs and my Fitbit tracks my BMR at 1247.  For more information, see How does my Fitbit device calculate calories burned?

Also need age and sex for BMR calculation.

Also, let me make sure you understand what you mean by BMR.  That is not what your calorie intake should aim for.  BMR stands for Basal Metabolic Rate.  That is the minimum number of calories you burn in a day just to stay alive, breathing, heart pumping, etc, say if you just laid in quietly all day.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
