Charge 4 has been recognizing way too many steps in my sleep. At the same times, but not every day. It started happening in September, but it's becoming a more common thing and the amount of steps increases every time. I've had two charge 4's since it was released so I can say it's a new problem. I sleep with it on and no electronics near me when I sleep so I can't say it's interference
fitbit won't let me include pictures for reference, but this morning between 3-3:15 I jumped 65k, yes 65,000 steps. It's begun to happen at least 1x a week, the first time was in September w only 5k steps, but now I'm waking g up to at least 40k steps

Hi there @Jinglz, it's good to see you back in the Community.
Thanks for your question about step counting, I understand how you feel about this situation and the distance differences.
Factors such as device placement, dominant or non-dominant hand, and stride length affect the number of steps recorded. If you're pushing a stroller or shopping cart, try putting your wrist-based device in your pocket or use GPS if possible.
If it still seems like your device is undercounting or overcounting steps, try a step test:
1. Put your device on your wrist or put your clip-on device on your hip or torso.
2. Walk 100 steps, making sure to count a step each time one of your feet hits the ground.
3. Pause, then check your device to see your step count.
If your device counted more or less than 100 steps, I'd recommend you restart your device and try the step test again.
