Hi there, @RuthBond. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Charge 4.

As a first approach, I'd like to share with your that all devices with GPS sensors require a direct path to GPS satellites to calculate location. A weak GPS signal might affect the accuracy of your route and other activity data. Your Charge 4 uses your step count to calculate distance until it finds a signal, so the total distance calculated for a workout may be slightly less accurate when GPS isn't available for the entire time.

Even though your Charge 4 has built GPS, please check if the Fitbit app is updated. Once that is done, give a try to the following steps:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Reboot your phone.
  3. Restart your Charge 4 while having it plugged in as described here.
  4. Open the Fitbit app and log back in to your account.
  5. Pull down on the screen to force a manual sync.

Once your tracker has synced, open the exercise app, choose your exercise, make sure the GPS is turned on  and start your exercise once it's connected.

If you continue having issues with the GPS after following the above steps, please see
