I've had my Charge 4 for just over 2 years. I wore it swimming for the first time, and it killed my battery. It's worked just fine for a variety of workouts in the 2 years I've had it. Now when I charge it up and turn it on, the battery drains in a matter of a few hours and it doesn't track my steps or heart rate.
The company's solution is to give me 35% off the purchase of a new device, which is nice, but wearing and using the tracker as directed shouldn't break it.
Did I just get a dud? Was Charge 4 not a great product? Do Fitbit trackers just have a 2 year max life expectancy? If I have to spend a couple hundred bucks every year, remind me why I shouldn't just get an Apple Watch?
