Charge 4 logging incorrect distance

I have been using the Charge 4 for more than a year now. I always suspected that it did not measure my run distances accurately. I finally took my phone with me for a run. To my utter shock and disbelief, the Charge 4's distance was off by a whopping 3kms even with full GPS connectivity !!! I ran 8k but the charge 4 showed 11.3k. Now I'm concerned that all my previous runs was inaccurate and it takes away a lot of my personal accomplishments in terms of fitness goals.

It destroys the purpose of using an advanced fitness tracker in the first place. 

Pls help

Kenne das Problem. Habe heute mein Zimmer Tapeziert. Sonst nichts. Habe laut Fitbit knapp 10 km geschafft. Mein Wohnzimner ist ca 8 Meter.breit ch bin also ca 1000 mal durch das Zimmer gelaufen? Bis auf die Etagenanzeige die sowieso komische Daten angibt, könnte der Rest aber stimmen.

Received a replacement for my broken Charge 4 from Fitbit.  Thank you !  BUT... the distances are way off. I used two other devices to measure my walk.  One was 2.33, the other (phone) was 2.53 and my Charge 4 was 1.56!  I looked on the Community Help site and did as suggested with my settings, it made no difference.  Has anyone found a solution?
