Charge 4 logs floors I didn't take

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a Charge4 since Christmas and recently it has been logging a lot of floors I did not climb. For example, going to bed before midnight and waking up to 2 floors on the watch or 10 floors logged while I took a very flat walk from home to the train station in the morning.

I have already restarted the watch as instructed since I realised it and it has not fixed the issue.

I haven't noticed any significant change on the step count, only the stairs count.

I don't want to always be using the option to "erase" the stairs climbed by using activities such as driving. Doing it once or twice is ok, but I've been having an almost daily imbalance in this count and adding the activity also messes my activity count.

Is there any other solution to this?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @bcmont.

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Charge 4. Thank you for trying to get them resolved before contacting us.

Your Tracker may give you credit for extra floors for a variety of reasons such as opening doors, driving, or riding elevators or escalators, or from abrupt weather and atmospheric pressure changes. Exposure to excess moisture can also result in extra floors. For more information, please visit this article and open the menu "Why does my Fitbit device count extra floors?".

Have a nice day.
