Charge 4 never worked for me

I preordered my Fitbit charge 4 and was very happy with the size and everything.

but it did not lasted long as I discovered that it never measure the miles that I hike or walk. It is always short.

Then, last year I went climbing some mountains and some volcanoes and to my surprised nothing was recorded. I stopped using it, and use my phone to track my miles which seems a lot more accurate.

This year, I try it again in some long walks and to my surprise it recorded like 5,000 steps but my phone tracked over 26,000 and I didn’t even have my phone on all the time to safe batterie life.

Just very disappointed with this item.
