Charge 4 not giving bedtime reminders

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So I've got the Charge 4 (I got it for my Christmas present from my brother) here on my arm. I've followed all the steps on trying to get this problem solved (ALL the steps 2 times) Anyways my phone mutes itself at 10:30pm & unmutes itself at 6:30am. (In my app on my phone the bedtime reminder is set for 10pm).

I have the watch notifications muted at 11pm & unmuted at 7am. I'm still not getting any notifications on the whole "Bedtime reminders" thing. When I had the Alta HR that had the bedtime notifications. I'm wondering as to how to go about getting the Charge 4 to do the same exact thing... or do I need to wear 2 fitbits & a watch?

Welcome to the Community, @OlBlueEyes.

Thanks for the information provided and for troubleshooting this bedtime reminder issue. Please confirm you are doing the following to set your bedtime reminder:

  1. In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab, then tap the sleep tile.
  2. Tap the gear icon in the top right.
  3. Turn on the bedtime reminder and set the time and frequency.

Also, I suggest making sure your tracker isn't in DND mode.

Let me know the outcome.

Yes Alejandra I did do all those things made sure to do that last night before I was supposed to get the reminder.

I do know I'm getting everything else. Texts, phone calls, Facebook messenger messages, Discord messages, YouTube channels uploads etc.

I haven't gotten a notification for the bedtime reminder yet. (its not my bed time yet. But I'll let you know more when it does come to that time if I have or haven't gotten one. (my bedtime is usually around 11pm East Coast, USA time zone.)

something is up with the current firmware.  besides the fact the heart rate sensor is horrible when exercising (the **ahem** point of the thing) my alarm doesnt even work even though its set daily.  Also, my reminder to move 250 steps an hour didnt work for 2 weeks and then randomly started working out of the blue (yes it was turned on in the app from day 1).  this thing needs major work.

I agree that it'll need a lot of work too pronto! This thing will drive me crazy if it doesn't get worked on pronto I'll start a fitbit riot.

So I just tried the bedtime notifications thing again. nothing... only all the rest of my notifications are still on there.

Now I know my old fitbit does this whole bedtime notification thing. 😕 I miss that so much. 😞

Have the same issue.... no bedtime reminders on my new charge 4. My previous Charge 3 worked just fine.

I have checked all the settings... they are seemingly set up properly.

Is this an issue with the charge 4 or is there a fix?

Did you notice how when i asked the original question & or gave a complaint....
Alejandra only answered 1 time which was this:

Thanks for the information provided (so on & so forth). Please confirm you are doing the following (so on & so forth) with the suggestions that of 1,2,3 that followed..... & then said "Also, I suggest making sure your tracker isn't in DND mode."

Like what the heck!!??

I literally said that I did all of that in my original post... So s/he is telling me:

1: I'm as dumb as a brick!

2: I can't read & follow SIMPLE directions from the Fitbit app!

3: I can't do anything myself & read other complains to the same type of complaint!

4: I'm a incompetent boob that needs help to know how to read!

I'm getting notifications from Facebook & Messenger, Youtube & other important social media....

It seem that the Fitbit people working on the software for Charge 4 have no darn clue that the notifications for SLEEP REMINDER are extremely helpful!! & That without them we actual humans that have to work need to have a reminder as to when to start heading for bed!! If I could call them then I'd start yelling at them for having no soul! Or yell at them for not having a brain... or if they did have a brain... then they need to use it! 😤😡

Hold the side button for two seconds and the settings for DO not disturb sleep and screen wake are there. Sadly you have to remember to go back and change it in the morning.

That has nothing to do with Bed time reminders.... that only has to do with "Do Not Disturb"

You know the thing that would go "Its time for bed" or "time to get ready for bed" or "time to wind down" etc etc?

That doesnt exist on the Charge 4 it seems like

I just meant for the shutting off of the other notifications at bedtime if that bugs you. I couldn’t figure out the notifications for the programs either. I had something update on mine but it still doesn’t do it! I hope they  add it

I'd love to get an answer but no one will answer me. The only thing I got was "Did you turn it off & turn it back on again? " I was like "I'm not an idiot! That was the 1St thing I tried! I also did a lot of other things that I found on the internet.... They only work for the Fitbit Alta" & the same person sent to me "oh. 🤔 well I guess you're doing something wrong. " I was like "uh no. "

I was having the same issue until I turned on app notifications (Account/Charge 5/Notifications/App Notifications/Fitbit. Not sure if this is the solution - could be just a coincidence, but it might be worth a try.

The thing that bothers me is that I'd prefer to get the notification on the Fitbit rather than on my phone. I'm just not one of those people whose every waking minute is devoted to my phone, so I miss a lot of my phone notifications. Fitbit is right there on my wrist, so I can't miss its vibration. But right now, the only way to get a notification on the Fitbit is to set an alarm, and since we can't customize the alarm message, it says "Wake up" which doesn't exactly help me to get in the mood for sleep.
