Charge 4 not holding charge

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have had my Charge 4 for around 3 years and it had been a great tracker for me. Unfortunately for the last few weeks the battery doesn't seem to be holding charge for more than a few hours. Is there anything I can do to fix it? I have tried to restart it but this doesn't seem to help.

Hi there @JenMat84, welcome to the community

Thank you for reporting us about the inconvenience you are facing. Please be aware that certain functions may have an effect on how long your device's battery lasts. The built-in GPS is one of the features I describe.

Also mention the fact that age is one of the main factors influencing a device's battery life. It is expected to decrease its lasting life after a few years.

Please take a look at this article, which lists every feature I mentioned.

I am having the same problem. I received my Fitbit Charge 4 in July, so it is not even a year old. Any suggestions?

Hey there @MemaHatcher, thanks for joining the community.

I don't know if you have already followed the steps described in: What are tips to extend my Fitbit device's battery life? If you don't, I suggest you read the article and check if the situation gets better for you.

I have the same issue for the same tracker-same age- every three days it stops for an hour or so?? What is wrong with it??

I discovered my device had not synced to my phone for almost as long as I have been having the issue. After re-syncing, the battery seems to be staying charged for longer. My Fitbit was also off by one day, and that was also resolved via syncing. I have not tried everything in the link, but will do that should the charging issue become a problem again. So far, after 3 days, it was at 57%, which is close to what I would expect if it needs to be charged every 7 days. I will keep you posted on the issue. Thank you.

Thank you for your email. My problem has nothing to do with my battery.

I have the same problem. I have had my charge 4 for a few years now. I haven't changed any of the functions/notifications. The gps is on phone gps. All of a sudden over the last 3 days, my tracker loses battery life at an alarming rate. One of the days it was at 50% and in a matter of a couple of hours it was dead. I now charge it daily or it won't last. Its frustrating especially since last year the part that holds the band broke off while I was wearing it, and I had to go out and buy a specialty all enclosed band to even use the tracker.

Hello there , for sll intents and purpose, I do not believe that i have a
battery problem. Over the last months my tracker just stopped working,
while the battery was at > 40 %. That is my problem.

Thank you for your reaction.

UPDATE: As I said in an earlier post, I discovered my Charge 4 had not synced with my phone for as long as I had the issue. Since syncing, I have had no trouble with the battery or the Charge 4. I make sure it syncs at least once a day. It has been almost a month with no issues and it is still discharging as expected for a 7-day battery charge.
