Hello,
Is there any update on the Charge 4 issues with not registering automatically the correct distance with exercises (especially running and walking)? This problem has been going on for too long now, it has become very frustrating.
Nobody from the Fitbit staff has given us any update, even though someone claimed that the company is aware of the problem (see post in August 2008, https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Other-Charge-Trackers/Charge-4-not-showing-distance/m-p/5639398#M277... )
Even if manually inserting stride lengths partially solves the problem, it is not precise in the least as it's very difficult to measure walking and running strides.
Could anyone from Fitbit give us an update? Soon enough we'll be forced to rely on other trackers.
Many thanks,

Is Fitbit storing the GPS locations/map for your runs? I'm curious since the Charge 4 has GPS onboard. I'm having another issue with the Charge 2 and using phone GPS for runs, but the GPS data doesn't get stored with my runs anymore. So I'm wondering if your runs actually stores the GPS route or if that's not saved.
I wrote about it last week week. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Other-Charge-Trackers/Charge-2-Activities-no-longer-storing-GPS-or-d...

Yes, the map is being stored and works perfectly. Distances are not, or at least they're not being registered correctly (40 minutes run was once registered as 800 meters).

That's so weird. Fitbit is really not right this month.
I ended up triggering my runs on the Fitbit app on the phone. I thought it would at least have the GPS data from phone and then merge the heart rate data from the Charge 2. I was only partially right. It got the map/distance AND heart rate zones on the route map, but did not display the chart for heart rate over time. It seems like the HR data is in there somewhere, since it's telling me the zones on the map.
