Charge 4 not showing sleep info in tracker

Hi All, I started to wear my new Charge 4 for 5 days now.

1st day, Apps doesn't have sleep data and sleep score.

2nd day same thing.

3rd day, 4th day and 5th day, Apps starting to give sleep data and sleep score however those two data doesn't sync to my Charge 4.

I rebooted my Charge 4 through:

1. Settings > About > Reboot Device and sync with the Mobile Apps. Result is still no sleep data and sleep score on my Charge 4.

2. While charging hold the button for 8 seconds and after that sync with the Mobile Apps. Result is still the same no sleep data and sleep score on my Charge 4.

Also I uninstalled my Fitbit apps on my mobile device (Samsung Galaxy Note 10+) and reinstalled and sync. Result also the same no sleep data and sleep score on my Charge 4.

Please help.

Thank you very much in advance.

Mine stopped displaying on my device when I did the latest iPhone software update about a month or so ago and the updates for Fitbit have don’t nothing to fix it - dunno that it ever will I’m deeply disappointed with it you expect it to work as they aren’t exactly cheap to purchase. I’ve only had mine 4 months and it’s now stopped displaying the weight info too

It’s also not showing up on my Fitbit 3

I have rebooted it

I have re installed it and still no data on my Fitbit

I bought my charge 4 yesterday... My sleep, weight and messages won't show on my tracker either?.. If you know its a problem why is it not fixed! And why sell it when it's not doing what it's meant to?

Hi, i just got mine on 11.11 as well. Charge 4 not tracking sleep. One of my use for Charge 4 is to track my sleep. How do I/we resolve this?

Best Answer

Fitbit haven’t had a solution for this for months, don’t think they ever will and just aren’t admitting it

Please note, there is a fix for this issue that works for me so I can get my graphs, data and sleep score in the App.  Read on.

When oh when is this issue going to be resolved? I didn't spend over $200 for something that doesn't work. I spent hours doing all the recommended adjustments from getting a new band to reinstalling etc. and the only thing that works is to delete each night's log (just let the app do its thing overnight automatically, don't use the Start Tracking option) and then replace the resulting record manually which then populates the data. Obviously, the Fitbit itself is working and collecting the data, it just won't display it unless I add a record with the time I went to sleep and the time I woke up. I even get a sleep score doing it that way. But I shouldn't have to do it! It's tedious and annoying and I don't actually trust the results any more. Surely it doesn't take months and months to provide an update to fix this? I love everything else about the app and what you can do with it. But this isn't some minor flaw. It's a major failure. No more Fitbits for me.

Edit, I realise this is not the place for this fix, it doesn't address op's score and data not appearing on the tracker, but only the App. BTW I still don't have a score or data myself after months of use of the tracker. But I will leave it here for anyone who has that problem. I can't see where to delete it or move it to the appropriate place. The good news is that I had a complete sleep record and sleep score on my app/phone this morning! I don't recall doing anything to cause this to happen, having got used to adding the logs manually. Fingers crossed it isn't a lucky one-off.

It’s been like this with charge 2 and charge 3 on and off for over 1 year

I bought my Fitbit Charge in Dec. it was giving me. Sleep score for a few days, now for the past 4 days, no sleep score. It’s gone back to an old data mode...no detailed stats provided. This issue has been going on for months and still no fix?? Very frustrating and annoying

I’m having a similar problem .... only part of my night’s sleep is being recorded and sometimes this is only in a simplified format . I’m so disappointed with this.

So it’s 6 months since a response was given that Fitbit is aware of this issue.

I have just purchased a charger 4 and experiencing the exact issue.

Surely 6 months is sufficient enough time to rectify this issue.

Kindly advise the solution that has been established.

Or admit the product is not fit for purpose and refund people!

The issue hasn't been dealt with. There are several "solutions" on multiple forums, but none appear to work for everyone. I have my solution which works for me and it involved deleting whatever daily log does appear and manually adding my own. Which has worked for about three months for me but obviously it hasn't worked for some people. Others do all the fixes like adjusting where you place the watch, wearing it tighter, upside down etc, not using the manual start sleep at all, (that never works), going in and restarting, or reinstalling or resetting just about everything you can think of in the app or on the web or the watch. I would love to get a refund on my watch and get one that just works (well it's the app that's the real problem)  but I've invested a lot of time and have a lot of data on this one and don't feel like starting again plus in general, I like the watch and the app. Just this one teensy problem. If I hadn't found my own fix, it would have been taken back to the shop by now.

Just got this charge 4. Wanted it just for tracking sleep. Doesn't work! I think its best to just get refund.

Fitbit have known about this issue for a long time now and can’t provide a fix, I’d go for a different watch I know I will be with my next purchase

I will be getting a different one next time also. It's not worth me trying for a refund now, although I could get one I expect, but I have a lot of data I want to keep and just can't be bothered starting all over again. This was a steep learning curve and I don't feel like tackling a new one, given that I did find a workaround for the sleep issues, mostly. It seems they can't fix it, if they could it would have been done by now.

So since I am not very happy with this purchase of the Fitbit charge 4 should I return and get my money back as I want? or should I wait.

Because the shop I got it from said they won't give my money back until you say they should?

Thanks
